How can research papers help the student community?

A research papersis a systematic study on a particular topic or a field of study. In order to motivate students and attract many young talents to research activities, research papers have been included in the course of college students as well. A research paper can really help to build up the thinking process in a student. It is an analytical study and the students need to think a lot and do more. What students do normally is that that they just mug up what are there in the text books and vomit it in the exam papers. By this process they are actually not learning anything new. If they are ask to do research on any subject they like, it would be of much help to them as they would have to really make their brains work and find a solution to the research problem.
Research papers also demands a vast reading and a general knowledge on other allied subjects as well. For example, economics term papersdemands a student to have knowledge not only in the subject of economics but also papers like business, marketing, costing etc. So it can be concluded that research papers do help the student community a lot.
